Who We Are
Dr. David Lane is a veterinarian who has been practising at Coast Mountain Veterinary Services in
Whistler B.C. for 17 years. The majority of his practise focuses on lameness and chiropractic medicine,
as well as orthopaedic surgery for pets. He also performs chiropractic assessments on horses. Although
he is based out of Whistler, he performs these services on a referral basis at four other veterinary hospitals.

Lauren Fraser teaches riding and Good Horsemanship at Rojo Pez Ranch. Always seeing things from the
horse's perspective first, her teaching philosophy encourages a soft, willing and confident horse who can
tackle any challenge. She particularly enjoys working with troubled horses as well as with horses who need
a solid foundation for any future discipline.

Carol Forsyth, Lauren’s mother, joined Rojo Pez Ranch in 2008, relocating from her home in sunny California.
Carol is the heart of Rojo Pez Ranch and wears many hats - Head Chef, Egg Washer, Blog Writer, Loose Pig
Catcher, Horse/Dog Treat Giver and Duck Wrangler being just a few. Dave, Lauren and all of the residents of
the ranch would be lost without her.
Lauren, David and Carol are passionate about are passionate about ensuring the animals that provide us with
food, also lead happy lives. Rojo Pez is a part of a growing movement back to the roots of farming, away from
intensive and ultimately unsustainable factory farming practises, and toward small scale production of more
humane and nutritious food.
